About Wendt Financial Advisors
Meet Tim Wendt

Founder Tim Wendt launched Wendt Financial Advisors, a fee-only Registered Investment Advisory firm, in 2020. The firm was founded with the belief that independent and objective financial planning should be at the center of an advisor relationship and not simply a complementary service to portfolio management.
Prior to founding WFA, Tim spent nearly 20 years with one of the country’s largest independent investment advisory “fee-based” firms. There, he focused on serving the financial planning and investment management needs of high net worth individuals and families. He was promoted to partner in 2010 and served a four-year term on the firm’s Investment Committee. Tim’s experience also includes nearly three years with a regional brokerage firm in the late 1990s.
Tim has earned his Certified Financial Planner™ designation as well as the Certified Investment Management Analyst® certification. Both professional designations serve to complement Tim’s formal education where he earned his MBA at Loyola University of Chicago and his undergraduate degree from Purdue University.
Within the community, Tim serves as a trustee with the Gilmore International Keyboard Festival where he is active on the Finance and Development Committees. He also serves as a member of the Kalamazoo Marathon’s Community Advisory Council and co-hosts the Marathon’s annual live television broadcast.
Tim and his wife, Liam, live in Battle Creek, Michigan.
